Was wondering if they completed it. I sent him an email before his trip when I saw he recieved an award to attempt what he was claiming as the first traverse. I mentioned Scott's trip. Glad he mentioned Scott in his article. Never met Joe but seems he likes to claim alot of firsts of things that are not particularly noteworthy. This was just a 10 day ski trip with a few peaks thrown in. To their credit they did negotiate some difficult route finding and glacier travel. That Anchorage skyline connecting Spurr to Torbert is the classic line. We attempted it march and backed off. Little to cold and committing for us apparently they thought the same.
