Access

There are several trailheads which can be used to access Caribou Creek. Probably the easiest and closest to the road is Caribou Creek Canyon Trailhead.

Activities

Climbing and Rafting are both activities which can be done in the creek. Also gold mining has been done in Caribou Creek for at least the last 50 years.

There are two ways to get to this climb. The easiest is to hike along Caribou Creek when it is frozen from the Caribou Creek Canyon Trailhead. It usually takes around 15 minutes. You will round a few bends and then on the right side of the canyon the first good off side canyon comes into view. Usually the lower ice pitch can be viewed from the creek. Once in the smaller canyon it is hard to get off track. There are 3 or 4 pitches depending on how you run them together. The first pitch is probably the most difficult and the 2nd or 3rd pitch being the longest. If you decide to hike on the trail over the top of the canyon and rappel in there are tree's and alders to anchor from. You shouldn't need more then one 60 meter rope for any of the rappels or belays.
